Construction work is well underway at two major offshore wind farms, 22 kilometers off the shore of the Netherlands’ Zeeland province. These projects are adjacent to one another in the Borssele Offshore Wind Farm Zone at the maritime border with Belgium. Orsted has recently started construction of its 752 MW Borssele 1&2 project, with completion expected in Q4 2020, while the Blauwwind Consortium’s 731.5 MW Borssele 3&4 project began construction in October last year.
