Swisscom launched its TV 2.0 initiative in April 2014, triggering a rapid migration from its older Mediaroom-based TV platform to the newer service built around Android TV operator tier. TV 2.0 is sold as a triple bundle, whereas 1.0 was standalone.   Operations and figures: Swisscom ended Q2 2019 with 1.53 million TV access lines in Switzerland, rising 1.9% year on year. Broadband lines climbed by 8.7% to 502,000 in its native country, with an additional 2,600 in Italy, up 4%. Switzerland is the only country in the world where 60% of homes and businesses have access to 80 Mbps broadband, according to Swisscom.
