Shell has committed to spending $570 million on renewable energy in Brazil by the end of 2025, as part of new venture Shell Energy. The division, which will be focused on clean energy, will focus on solar and wind projects in the region, as well as well as low-carbon energy from thermal-based gas. It will also offer environmental products such as Renewable Energy Certificates and carbon offsets.
