EDF is aiming to make hydrogen part of its nuclear future, after signaling plans for a massive hydrogen production facility for its UK generation fleet. The H2H consortium, led by EDF, recently concluded a study estimating that an electrolyser capacity of around 550 MW may be installed across its fleet by 2035, at plants including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. The report suggests that around 220,000 kg of hydrogen could be created per day at a cost of $2.44 per kg.
