Sunverge has won a bid to provide Nova Scotia Power with its DER platform, which when combined with LG Electronics energy storage can be used to turn residential energy into grid resources in a virtual power plant. The Sunverge platform will be used to offer grid services based on day-ahead and intra-day generation planning, including load leveling, contingency generation, congestion management and renewables smoothing. This will allow consumers to engage in energy arbitrage and balancing services and Nova Scotia Power believes it will lead to a more stable grid.
