Enlit Europe’s keynote address was preceded by an emotional and impassioned address from DTEK’s energy storage lead Vadym Utkin, the largest Ukrainian utility company tasked with maintaining much of the country’s electricity grids despite frequent bombardment. DTEK employs 53,000 employees across 7 companies operating within Ukraine, and the company produced 27 TWh of electricity over the course of 2021.
