The Ultra HD Alliance and the Ultra HD Forum, long-time bedfellows in the Ultra HD space yet curiously separate in mandate and membership, are finally discussing a merger. Both founded in 2015, Faultline first proposed the idea of a merger circa 2018 when it was already apparent that both organizations were spending more time justifying their parallel existence than delivering unified progress for the UHD ecosystem.
