This week the US Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm and the UK Business and Energy Secretary, Kwasi Kwarteng pulled together what we think could become a global advisory group for grid organizations. We see the move as technical rather than political, a way of giving Independent Systems Operators new tools to manage in a world where renewables run rampant. It is being called the Global Power System Transformation Consortium or G-PST Consortium for short.
