The deal between South East Asian OTT video service iflix and software vendor Vewd, inked last week, is a highly mutually beneficial deal and one of the largest to date for either party – to the extent it’s difficult to establish which side has secured the sweeter end. It will see the iflix app, which now claims 15 million subscribers, arrive on Vewd smart TVs and set tops around the world, which the company told us last year was a deployed base in the region of 50 million devices.
