Vietnam terminated its Feed-in Tariff incentive scheme for solar at the beginning of 2021, and decided that its wind Feed-in Tariff would come to an end in November 2021. Seven months later, a booming sector waits for the new policy. A mad rush to get ahead of the Feed-in Tariff deadline saw 4.6 GW of solar power connected in just the last week of 2020 alone, reflecting how much of an excessive global attraction the $83.8 per MWh tariff was.
