An OTT technology tie-up with early potential for promise was inked this week between three players, each with well-defined areas of expertise. French-Israeli OTT and security specialist Viaccess-Orca has teamed up with French UI developer Wiztivi and set top designer EKT Digital – joining some of the dots required for the so-called end-to-end OTT multiscreen platform. Perhaps we weren’t the only people hopeful the term “end-to-end” had died with the close of 2017. Unfortunately, the misleading phrase is back with a vengeance – yet the partner project gets close to looking like something we’d call the real deal.
