Andy Grove was a Hungarian immigrant to the US, who had survived Nazi and Soviet occupation. He was one of Intel’s very early employees, from 1968, and was president of the company from 1979 to 1997, CEO from 1987 to 1998, and chairman of the board from 1997 to 2005.
