Apple may finally be listening to increasingly irritated investors and be willing to break the patents stalemate with the Android camp. The giant has been indicating willingness, for the first time, to negotiate patent licensing deals with its rivals, rather than seeking to shut down their products in court. Indeed, a European Union document reveals that it actually did sit down with Motorola Mobility in November, although no agreement was reached. Signs of a possible truce will please those who believe resources and energies are being diverted from improving the consumer experience, into an ever-deeper legal stalemate.
