The clamor around vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology continues to grow, as Honda announced a new system that it will pilot in France – to integrate electric vehicles (EVs) on the grid, as distributed energy resources (DERs). The Power Manager technology will give EVs the ability to stabilize the grid at times of either short supply or high demand, and allow EV customers to generate revenue from their vehicles in the process – something Honda hopes will encourage more sales of its EVs.
