Huawei and ZTE have both been heavily involved in phase two of China’s official 5G radio test programme. Huawei has detailed tests in the Huairou District of Beijing, using 5G NR, C-Band spectrum (3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz) and Massive MIMO to achieve a peak data rate of over 18Gbps with air interface latency of less than 0.5ms. The test used the entire 200 MHz bandwidth to achieve over 6Gbps of single-user downlink throughput and over 18Gbps of cell peak rate.
