The WiFi Alliance has announced its latest set of specifications, WiFi Certified TimeSync, which supports precise time synchronization among multiple WiFi devices – especially important if QoS-sensitive content like audio and video is being streamed between multiple gadgets in a home. Announcing the specs at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Alliance cited several use cases, such as using WiFi to connect speakers on opposite sides of a room to create an immersive stereo sound.
