Telecoms tycoon Naguib Sawiris is finding it hard to leave Italy alone. Having owned, and sold, the Wind operator (to VimpelCom), he is now ready to make a significant investment in Telecom Italia, possibly reviving earlier ambitions to create an international mobile group around the Mediterranean.
