The challenge of managing and monitoring huge numbers of connected devices will be a far bigger one for Internet of Things operators than linking them up in the first place – the issue on which many firms have focused. UK start-up Resin.io has raised $9m in funding to address that challenge, and two of its backers are major drivers of the Industrial IoT – Ericsson and GE Ventures (the others are DFJ and Aspect Ventures).
