Drax’s plans for four new gas turbines at its Yorkshire facility in the UK, have been put on hold, due to a high court lawsuit from ClientEarth. Legal pressure is also mounting on government ministers who approved the project. The ability of the UK’s gas industry to hide behind a masquerade of carbon capture promises, and other greenwashing methods, is slowly slipping away.
