The latest twist in the wind turbine court case between GE and Siemens Gamesa came in the form of a Boston jury ruling that GE must pay Siemens $60,000 per MWh of electricity generated from the wind farm project that is under development off the coast of New Jersey. An initial ruling from a few months prior stated that only half of that needs to be paid in the form of royalties towards Siemens even though the Spanish-German wind giant requested $90,000 per MWh in an attempt to cover damages of up to $109.3 million.
