Seven North-East US states are looking to obtain a share of $1.25 billion from the $8 billion regional hydrogen hub fund established by the US Department of Energy (DOE). The States of New York, New Jersey, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have submitted an application to the DOE in order to set up what could be the first out of up to ten regional hydrogen hubs in America. The DOE set up The Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs program, worth $8 billion, as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) in order to streamline the future production and usage of clean hydrogen.
