The Australian Government has released a Consultation Paper regarding its National Hydrogen Strategy in which, among other things, it questions the economic viability of blue hydrogen – hydrogen produced from natural gas with CCS (Carbon Capture and Sequestration) – as it recognizes a domestic trend among its domestic project pipeline. Most of the projects awaiting FID (Final Investment Decision) in the country are green hydrogen projects.
