Wholesale gas prices in the Netherlands and Britain had mixed results on Wednesday. The Dutch front-month contract rose due to healthy gas inventories countering concerns about upcoming Norwegian outages in August and low LNG flow to Europe. However, the September contract fell. Maintenance at the Dvalin gas field was extended, raising doubts about the planned maintenance schedule. Additionally, concerns over LNG supply grew as the Japan Korea Marker reached its highest level since June 21. No LNG tankers were scheduled to arrive at British ports, and Europe’s gas market is expected to remain tight until it can receive larger LNG volumes.
