Australian phosphate mine owner Avenira plans to move downstream and is looking at developing a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cathode manufacturing plant in Darwin, Australia. The company is working with Taiwanese battery materials company Aleees through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to duplicate its factory design as currently operational in Taiwan, aiming to simplify and expediate operations and achieve cathode material production by 2025.
