Toyota has signed a deal with LG Energy Solutions (LGES) that will see it buy 20 GWh of batteries annually from LGES starting in 2025. While it didn’t specify what electric vehicles (EV)the batteries will be used for, we know that they will come from LGES’ Michigan battery factory to supply Toyota’s Kentucky assembly plant, so we can assume the batteries will be used for Toyota’s large SUV that is set to be sold throughout the US 2025.
