Malaysia‘s state-owned energy company Petronas plans to invest $1.6 billion in an Indian green ammonia venture, marking one of the top five private capital raises in India this year. The investment, led by Petronas’s Gentari renewables division, gives a 30% stake in AM Green Ammonia Holdings, a company formed by the founders of Indian renewables group Greenko. The project aims to produce 5 million tons of green ammonia by 2030, utilizing green hydrogen. In Denmark‘s first green hydrogen and derivatives tender, six projects totaling nearly 280 MW capacity received subsidies.
