Contemporary Brunp Lygend (CBL) – a subsidiary of China’s CATL, the largest battery manufacturer in the world – has signed an agreement to invest the first $420 million in an upcoming partnership with Indonesia. Last April CBL signed an agreement worth $15 billion with state mining company Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) and South Korea’s LG Energy Solutions that is set to act as the framework for developing the country’s electric vehicle (EV) battery ecosystem.
