Investigators from the European Commission have reportedly landed in China to inspect automakers BYD, Geely, and SAIC to verify the answers given to them through questionnaires aiming to determine the level of assistance received from the Chinese government. Western automakers within the country are not going to be investigated due to the assumption that it is Chinese EV companies receiving unjust benefits which warp the competitive environment.
