Tsingshan Holdings’ battery oriented subsidiary has announced its intentions to build a battery manufacturing plant in Indonesia’s Weda Bay, alongside the group’s raw material processing facilities. Tsingshan is the world’s largest producer of nickel products due to its significant operations in Indonesia, supplying into the Chinese steel and battery industries. This will be REPT BATTERO Energy Co’s (REPT) first overseas battery factory, which could come online as early as next year, a timeline considered a key benefit by the company.
