We recently spoke with SiAT Technologies, a Taiwan-based nanomaterials development and manufacturing company established in 2018 with some of its executives coming from Aleees, one of the original ex-China lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology developers. The company develops a number of innovations for the lithium battery industry, with a focus on improving product performance with minimal change in manufacturing processes. Interestingly SiAT produces both cathode and anode additives at scale rather than just one or the other like most startups in the battery space, really utilizing the industry knowledge acquired from Aleees to maximize its product coverage.
