M&A & Investments Liberty Global is in talks to acquire Three Ireland from CK Hutchison, according to the FT. The Irish operator is said to be valued at €1.5 billion. Norway’s Telenor continues its divestment from operators in Asia, after recently selling out of Pakistan. Now, Telenor will sell the majority of its stake in Thai operator True for NOK 39 billion ($3.9 billion) and will hold onto around 5% for another two years. True has around 60 million customers. Telenor still holds a majority stake in Grameenphone, the largest company in Bangladesh, and a 33.1% stake in CelcomDigi in Malaysia.
