Walmart has announced that it plans to install thousands of electric vehicle chargers at its stores by 2030. Locations include Walmart Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets, and Sam’s Clubs. Walmart currently already has around 1,300 fast-charging stations installed at 280 of its locations – the company has over 5,200 locations across the United States with the potential to become charging hubs. The company claims that 90% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Walmart store or club, making it an easily accessible charging location while simultaneously being convenient as customers can charge while they shop.
