Alibaba Cloud has just opened its second data center in South Korea, as the company continues to pivot away from its rather saturated e-commerce business towards technology and AI, with a strengthening focus on the telco sector. At the same time, the company is homing in on countries that are non-aligned in the sense of being still open to Chinese technology companies, especially in APAC and Latin America, as well as parts of the Middle East.
