Apple’s latest attempt on the TV market is based around its new operating system, tvOS12, unveiled alongside iOS 12 at the firm’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, California last week. The company has gone some way to address shortcomings which have seen Apple TV’s market share being eroded by rivals, notably Amazon on the back of its all-conquering voice-activated home assistant, Alexa, and its Prime content bundles. With tvOS 12, Apple has finally started to integrate TV with the iPhone and iPad properly.
