The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) predicts that all device shipments will surpass the 5 billion mark this year, and while dual-mode devices remain the most popular configuration, by 2028 single-mode Bluetooth low energy (LE) shipments will catch up. In its 2025 device forecast, the Bluetooth SIG says it expects device sales to exceed 5.3 billion units this year, and approach 8 billion by 2029.
