Fast-growing neutral host network provider Boldyn Networks has shared details of its Scope 3 emissions in a recent pilot project. The research found that Scope 3 accounted for 99% of emissions in its UK and Ireland operations, a figure higher than most wireless providers would admit to. “Telecoms standards were not designed with sustainability in mind. The basic Class-A amplifier technology used in mobile is nearly 120 years old and has a maximum efficiency of just 25%.
