Carbon Capture is a topic we have criticized constantly over the past few years. It is deemed a necessary evil by the IPCC scientists, although we disagree – to soak up carbon once we have brought the world to low or zero emissions. In April Elon Musk put up a $100 million reward for Carbon Removal and this week he announced the first 23 awards under this scheme. We went through most of the schemes and found little to recommend them above the existing industrial approaches which have been found wanting in trial after trial of carbon capture for fossil fuel exhaust fumes.
