CATL’s Chief Technology Officer of its E-Car division Gao Han has announced at the IAA Mobility show in Munich that the company will be producing its recently announced Shenxing batteries in its plant in Thuringia, Germany, as well as in its planned 100 GWh factory in Debrecen, Hungary. The world’s largest battery manufacturer intends to have the rapid-charging batteries in mass production in China by the end of this year and plans to have them in vehicles on the road by the first quarter of 2024.
