The Egyptian government has recently inked a significant framework agreement with a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group, popularly known as Energy China or CEEG, for the establishment of a green hydrogen and ammonia plant, valued at $6.75 billion, within the Suez Canal Economic Zone. This is an important pathway for China to export green hydrogen and derivatives towards Europe in order to keep expanding its grasp on the global industrial sector.
