Few MNOs around the world have escaped any revenue impact from the Covid-19 pandemic but some have at least managed to maintain modest growth either through cost cutting or pushing added value services. So while some operators may be relieved to have an excuse to delay expensive 5G roll-outs, at the same time there is value to be had exploiting the full benefits of existing 4G capacity and performance. Conversely, those operators reliant on lower ARPU subscribers, and especially prepaid deals, in developing countries have tended to experience the sharpest Covid-19 related downturns.
