UK-based firm Telent, which provides digital infrastructure for the transport sector, emergency services, and MNOs, has been snapped up by CVC-owned M Group. This fits into private equity firm CVC’s broader strategy to expand its European telecoms assets. This comes as other private equity firms make big plays into the European telco space, such as KKR, which scooped up TIM’s fixed line piece, called NetCo, last year. M Group provides repair and maintenance of infrastructure in the water, energy, rail and aviation, highways and telecom sectors.
