Vendors and to an extent telos have been drawn into a vortex of cybersecurity activity leading to some eyewatering sums paid for companies well below the watermark of public consciousness. Google Cloud has just set a new mark by paying $32 billion in cash for New York based cloud cybersecurity specialist Wiz – just pipping the $28 billion Cisco paid for Splunk a year earlier in March 2024.
