South Korea is taking the hydrogen transition to the next level by wanting to make six different cities run exclusively on hydrogen. The Korean government had announced $192 million of funding back in January that will be aimed at blue hydrogen production and hydrogen infrastructure development that will eventually see the cities of Pyeongtaek, Namyangju, Dangjin, Boryeong, Gwangyang and Pohang be powered by hydrogen. From hydrogen port infrastructure, blue hydrogen plants and waste to hydrogen production factories to fuel cell powered building, hydrogen cars and buses, and refuelling stations, South Korea plans for these cities to represent a hydrogen utopia.
