While we are on the subject of Wind Power (elsewhere in this issue) AI has specifically raised its head around the renewables energy technology this week, with Google’s DeepMind saying it has tuned the AI to predict wind power output for the coming 36 hours. While you may debate whether or not this actually requires an AI, we have come across the idea in the University of Bristol in the UK, where researcher reverse engineered weather that has happened when they sniff air content as strategic points around a country.
