Ericsson’s latest Mobility Report has predicted that the number of LPWAN connections will grow 30% annually through 2022, hitting 2.1bn links, with licensed devices accounting for 1.5bn of them. The new report doesn’t break from the party line, and is much the same as earlier predictions, but Ericsson’s outlook is much more in line with our thinking than some of the more enthusiastic industry forecasts out there.
