Fortescue Metals Group and Fortescue Future Industries have been rebranded and merged into a single brand called Fortescue. The company has also acquired 100% ownership of the Phoenix Hydrogen Hub, a green hydrogen project initially announced by Nikola Motors. The deal was worth $24 million. Fortescue had previously entered into an MoU with Nikola to collaborate on large green hydrogen projects, with a specific focus on the Phoenix Hydrogen Hub. The Australian iron-ore company confirmed that while the two sides of the business will exist as divisions of Fortescue, there will be no change to the current organizational structure.
