The last few weeks have seen almost unanimously positive developments regarding the development of natural graphite projects eligible for Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) subsidies, particularly in the development of more environmentally friendly graphite production. Toronto-listed Green Battery Minerals (GBM) and Volt Carbon Technologies (VCT) have entered into an option agreement between the two companies for the co-development of the Berkwood Graphite Project in Quebec. Volt has an option to acquire a 5% stake in the project by funding C$150 000 in exploration before the end of December and making a one-time cash payment of C$1.5-million before the end of 2025.
