Earlier in the week the British electricity grid operator, National Grid ESO (NG ESO), revealed a multi-billion pound plan that would see England, Wales and Scotland come together in upgrading the necessary grid infrastructure to pave the way for some 120 GW of onshore and offshore wind in addition to just short of 60 GW of solar capacity by 2035. These targets are impressive to say the least.
