New York based hydrogen equipment developer, Plug Power, has come out with a plan that, according to the American company, would prevent the future extreme loading of electricity grids when electric vehicle (EVs) adoption rates increase dramatically over the next 17 years or so. The company’s plan, highlighted in a press release, comes in the shape of a new stationary fuel cell system. The looming problem of grid demand not being able to accommodate the clean electricity supply is something very real but in no way shape or form does it make sense for EV owners to purchase electricity from charging stations that convert hydrogen into electricity.
