The east Asian country has been taking questionable steps when it comes to its decarbonization strategy, more specifically the use of hydrogen. The Korean Power Exchange (KPX) has run a second round of auctions with the aim of contracting companies for the purpose of power generation using hydrogen. The competitive bidding round will see a staggering 650 GWh of electricity generation capacity be placed on the market in order to be covered with the help of hydrogen.
